School Library and E-Library
Our electronic library plays an essential role in keeping the digital doors open to help our students think about learning beyond the classroom. It enables our users to gain access to a full range of information beyond the school building. Our computing facilities are equipped with internet-ready resources and educational databases for effective and efficient study.
Our school library is located in a safe, suitable, and conducive environment that encourages assimilation and comprehension at its best. Our collections are of a high standard covering the school curriculum, the general interest of the students, and stimulating the children’s imaginative development.
The library collection consists of subject test books, journals magazines, newspapers, novels, reference materials such as; children’s encyclopedia, dictionaries, handbook, etc. providing resources to students and teachers giving them the opportunity to read and learn.
We render reference service to our students helping out to find information resources for their assessments and research works.
The club offers an opportunity to excite students about STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as well as developing practical, teamwork, and leadership skills that will support their classroom learning and boost their employability skills. The STEM club also allows students a rare opportunity to direct their own learning and explore their own interests with an external support system. It provides an opportunity to give them insight into STEM-related careers.
- Create interest in students on the enjoyment of STEM
- Increase the confidence of students in STEM subjects.
- Increase, awareness, knowledge, and understanding of STEM subjects and careers related to it and provide key employability skills.
Our activities are based on STEM learning-themed resources to achieve the above objectives.
HOMEMAKERS PROFILE ( Proverb 24: 3-4)
A homemaker is one who manages a household. Home makers’ Club has a deliberate focus on learning, developing, and preserving skill or interest. Africa Community School’s homemakers are all students who attend to learn and grow. This club provides connection amongst students while also helping them to learn and grow the self-care that adds value to many areas of their lives and prepares them to be self-dependent. During the weekly meetings, students are prepared not only for the higher level of learning but also for life.
The homemakers Club aims to:
- Help members to be aware of the basic principles of homemaking for the wellbeing of individuals, family, community, and in life.
- Help members develop confidence as we have fun engaging them in different activities designed to make them discover they can do all things (Do It Yourself) through Christ who strengthens them.
- Make members well prepared in rendering services to any environment they find themselves in.
To empower members to improve their quality of living through character development, skills, self-dependence, and community service.
I believe in the Homemakers Club and accept the responsibilities it offers to be helpful to others and to provide for continuous improvement in all levels of living.
I believe in my own work as a homemaker. I believe that the greatest force that molds character comes from the home, and I pledge myself to create an environment which is morally wholesome, spiritually satisfying and physically healthful and convenient.

NISSMUN (Nigerian International Secondary Schools Model United Nations) is highly deepened in the urge and rising need to inspire youth who will not only develop an understanding of the needs and rights of others, but also learn to respect the cultures, political views and the belief system of others through getting involved with local and global communities in order to make our world a better place to live.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To promote among the youths, the knowledge and support for the aims, achievements and activities of the united nations and its agencies
- To facilitate discussions and debate on a diverse range of issues through our programmes and activities.
- To conduct studies, research and other activities relating to the UN systems. etc.
SPELLING BEE, LITERARY AND DEBATING CLUBS.
These clubs are designed to help students develop the ability to critically analyze issues and to confidently express informed opinions on national and international topics.
At meetings, club members engage in lively discussions, exchanging both pro and contrary ideas and opinion.
The coordinators ensure that each student presents a speech or argue on a topic to an audience, usually, the entire school. The belief is that when students are trained in this way it eliminates stage fright thereby enabling them to speak confidently before an audience in future.
OBJECTIVE OF THE CLUBS
The aim of the clubs is to inculcate among students a love for language and enhance their literary skills.
The clubs provide the platforms for;
DEBATING: To encourage students become orators to display their intellectual and independent thinking skills and imbibe a sense of confidence.
SPEECH AND DRAMA: To promote communication skills of students and help in team work, ability to speak and emote before an audience thereby increasing the emotional quotient of the students.
JOURNALISM: To promote the ability to organize and analyze the available resources and adopt technological advancements to presents ideas, creativity and artistically.
The music club is a platform where students get the opportunity to engage in practical music learning. At the club we put to work all the theories learnt in class till the complete music person is formed.
We engage the students across the 5 families of musical instruments (Keyboard, strings, percussion, wind and brass). Our students are expected to learn at least one instrument from any one family of choice. We allow an addition of vocal lessons for all music club members since the voice is a universal musical instrument which everyone has.
We adopt best practice music learning techniques such as tonic sol-fa and staff notation to achieve our goal of raising a complete and competent music personnel.
For some of our learners we use the Suzuki teaching method so that we are able to reach every child regardless of their age and capacity.
We also adopt a large sense of differentiation which allows us see every learner individually and grow each learner independent of another.
At every school event we pursue for ground of music expression as we know the vital role expression gives to learning. With this in mind, members of the music club get the chance to be part of various bands in the school.
Here in Africa Community school we grow music skills deliberately and excellently.
